new yr's eve
realised that want i have been doing recently is realli nothing... very thing pretty much the same.. nothing else better to do except to pack my room...
something i muz complain abt the other night... it was new yr's eve... i was planning on going fullerton... full of hopes to sit in a quiet environment n welcome 2006.. i walked all the way down from suntec to esplanade n finally reaching fullerton... i was rudle stopped by one of the guards there saying the entrance was closed, its either having to turn left or right... fine, i followed the left path n walked enthusiantically to the other entrance... AGAIN, i was stopped by a sealed entrance!! wth! on of the guard once again told me we had to go to the main entrance to enter... fine!! den stupidly, we walked...
finally got to the main entrance... plenty of 'bouncers' standing around the doors... den we politely asked if it was open for us to go to the lounge for drinks... the reply was," ya sure, there's a cover charge of $48 per person." WTH!! $48 per head (the number swam in my head)... immediately my reply was what nonsense is this.. u made me walk a big round n stopped me outside ya main entrance n tell me i gotta pay to enter?! u could have nicely put up the cover charge @ the pin-ups @ the other 2 entrances right?!
i'm super angry regarding this incident... i mean if u put up the charges together with the entrance closure signs it would b more reasonable... coz the building itself isnt small, n walking 1 BIG round is tiring... especially when u r in heels... n the 1st guard that i met didnt even bother to tell me the shorter route to the front gate!! so maddening... n that guard @ the main entrance, sound so so snobbish... (me: nose up in the sky) shant bother abt u!
**MEN pls do note that its tiring on LADIES' feet to walk in heels!! **
the men realli DUN get it...
if i knew i had to pay that exhorbitant charge to enter i probably wun even bother to walk that big circle n make myself so hot - literally n mentally...
my lips were on the verge of cursing that bouncer.. but i knew i shouldnt...
i'm v disappointed n angry over this incident.. its new yr's eve, they had to spoil my mood lidat... wth....
in the end, we walked down boat quay n settled into one of the bars that had alfresco seats... i dun even know the name of that restaurant pub, but they serve realli good kebab! seriously tasty n flavourful... wash it down with beer n wow! i luvvvvvv it....
much better compared to fullerton... bet they dun serve such things anyway...
it was a blessing in disguise... if i was in fullerton den i couldnt have seen the fireworks so nicely... @ the alfresco area, it was quite cool, n i could absorbed the 3 minutes of bright sparks... wonderful... i luv fireworks... its juz so gorgeous...
