I adore this pair of shoes... couldnt bear to throw them away till....

















its super horrible... everything is falling apart... omg...
somehow my shoes dun last very long......
i didnt want to throw them away till 1 day @ work my shoes almost came off while i was walking... think i muz have fainted coz it was super embarrassing n i pretended that one of my legs was injured!! as if i twisted it or something... omg... this is the end of it....

its in a pretty bad state... well, what can u expect from something that i wear to work almost everyday n so cheap? not bad alreadi.. lasted slightly more that 6 months i think....



dun think i have only lousy shoes... this is a gorgeous pair... my current favourite... (dun think there's anything nicer though)















i call them my ballet shoes... for dancing... juz a pity that a few of the crystals came off... the funniest thing is that, when i wore them to work, 2 dropped out.. n my colleague picked it up, thinking it was a diamond... haha... almost thought he struck lottery or something...

praying hard that this pair can last me for another 6 months... i luv this 1....

so weird... the days r passing so quickly... my bro was admitted into hospital on tues night... i was on afternoon shift.. didnt know it till i was on my way home... so scary coz few hours earlier, my colleague's husband was admitted too... all related to the stomach... hmm.... mayb there's something wrong with the water we r drinking...


didnt go to the hospital to visit him that night... too tired from sleep deprivation...

was so tired thinking of what happened the other night...


went to visit him on wed morning before work.. so funnie.. knew that he appreciate me going to visit him but wanna act cool in front of us.. lolx...


but anyway, took the chance to buy my wardrobe!!
hmmm.... its a 3 door wardrobe... dark brown mainly...
hope its big enough to hold most of my clothes... otherwise, mama gotta kill me... i wanted a 4 door initially... but out of my budget... so this is the closest n yet not ugly... @ least, i can still bear to part with it a few yrs down the road... not like the antique i have now... super old, n taking up alot of space....
going to get rid of it on the 9th... perhaps i shall take a few pix of it... for memories sake.. haha... being around since i could remember... but i know its time to move on...

booze time

went for my company's d&d last night... it wasnt realli a dinner n dance... more like lucky draw time... lolx.. let me rephrase... its prezzie receiving time cum getting drunk time.. imagine having d&d @ a pub? how formal can it get?

with compliments from dennis we managed to hitch a ride to the pub... it was super difficult to find that place... imagine 6 women n 1 man squeezed into a matrix, desperately trying to find our way (when our driver dun even know the road?) every1 strained our neck to see if we were on the right road... having all different views... lolx... i think i will die being the driver.. i hate guessing which way to go n squeezing my eyes to look @ the signboards... but with the help of a call, haha, we got there without much glitches...

upon entering the pub, i think i almost died from coughing n choking... it was so smelly!! its not the kind of regular smoke, but those as if u haven aired the room for tons of years... omg... juz wanted to faint.... but somehow after 5 minutes u juz dun let the smell get to u... every1 around me juz picked up their cigarrettes n continued contributing to the smell...


the 1st sip was forced by one of my managers -- its red wine... omg... b4 i stepped into the pub i told myself i wasnt going to mix... but aiyo... no choice... put in front of me le... den guai guai let the red wine touch my lips n returned the glass... haha... muz know how to act act...
den after that returned to my beer... looked @ the buffet spread juz to realise that it wasnt a spread @ all.. its more like mashy fried rice, dunno what mayo fish, fried egg beancurd n the rest was super forgettable... basically i only took 3 slices of the beancurd n that's it for dinner...


den it continued with plenty of beer... somehow awarkwardly, ppl around me starting to caution me abt drinking too much... lolx.. even colleagues that i didnt realli know... omg... so embarrassing... cant all of u see, that's why i'm drinking beer!! coz that's gotta make me feel bloated den i wun drink anymore... but the stupid thing is the waitress there is so overwhelming, when i took only a sip out of the mug, they moved in to pour more... that was what made me lose count of the number of mugs i had...

@ one point, i was staring @ the bottled beer that one of my colleagues had... that stare was costly... forced to drink again!! that's a bottle of stout... n mayb i'm sua gu, but i haven had stout b4... its super thick... but bo bian still have to drink.. hmm.... did i mention that the bottle was not chilled... its supposed to be not so bitter when warm... but i wasnt convinced...

den after like 30 minutes, some1 brought in a bottle of the chilled stout... almost wanted to faint... another blank stare @ it caused me to down another bottle..

** in conlusion, nv stare @ what the rest is drinking... juz hold ya own bottle n act blur**

but i'm not convinced that warm stout is less bitter den the chilled 1... but nvm... i prefer the lighter version...


think i had quite a few mixes... its quite funny.. after i put down my own bottle when 1 of my drunk colleagues tried pick up his own drink n spilled half my bottle on the floor... now.... who's drunk.... i remembered having alot of liquid hitting my feet... its all the doings of my colleagues... whether in the k-box room or out in the 'hall' some1 had to spill something on my feet!! den sadly, unglamly, i had to squat down n take tissue to dry my feet... super ugly sight... urgh...


closing to 1am i was still there... plenty of ppl got high n it was such an amusing sight... spilling all the liquid doing silly things... another of my manager was so drunk that he passed me his car keys... n i asked him for the car number plate n he uttered plenty of rubbish...

gotta have company's d&d tml.... dun even bother to dress up... its gotta b a piece of black tml... coz every1's going there after work... haiz... no chance to dress up... but i luv dressing up... like wearing gown, doing ya hair, nails etc etc etc...

hope they serve good food... foie gras if possible... heh... or mayb truffles?! think i'm hallucinating away..... lolx...

today's mama birthday... celebrated it on mon... had to work till late today so didnt spend much time with her... but she's already wearing the earrings that we gave her... so nice... i like but when i tried them i looked horrible in it... but nvm... as long as she like can liaoz...

1st time i eat such big slices of aloe vera... didnt knew that they tasted so queer... its like a sort of raw veggie feeling but its not... still ok but dun give me a bigger portion... thanks...


Lao Beijing serves good food... serious... consider giving me a vip card k?! den i will bring all my frenz n relatives there for birthdays or juz plain dinner?

ps: dun put brocoli can liaoz....

btw fyi: nydc cafe is one of the places that REFUSES to serve brocoli... not even if u pay 'brocoli-age' charge (as in corkage charge) i'm serious... go scrutinise their menus seriously...

something to munch abt

drove my way to orchid country club... it was abit difficult to imagine what it is like to hold a wedding banquet @ a country club... i honestly haven been to one @ a country club...

the place was abit out of the way, but fortunately, i was told specifically how many traffic lights b4 i had to make a right turn... so didnt take alot of effort to find the place... upon reaching, i'm muz say i was surprised @ how friendly the security guard was.. he directed me the way to the exact location of the carpark n when i got to the carpark, another security guard gave me a reserved lot... so kind of him...


anyway, let me zoom in on what i had @ the wedding banquet...


1. starters
-- the usual octopus, prawn salad, some slimy jellyfish, barbeque pork
i like the octopus n prawn salad.. i personally dun like jellyfish, so it didnt taste nice to me anyhow... as for the barbeque pork, i didnt had any @ all..

2. shark fin soup
my all-time favourite dish
it was filled with crab meat or chicken shreds... the soup base was quite thick n tasty, nice... the only thing is that u cant realli see any shark's fin inside...

3. suckling pig
not as crispy as i expected... but still okay...

4. steamed sea bass
normal steamed fish nothing special, just that the fish didnt taste as fishy as i thought it would..

5. deep-fried chicken
as always.. dry, dry n dry.... i nv enjoyed this dish @ dinner anyway...

6. deep- fried yam n duck paste
there's something else that's served together... both deep-fried n oily, tasted like dough -- but it was covered with sesame, upon biting into it, it tasted abit like fish cake but i know it isnt

7. spinach with mushrooms
something that will be served @ most dinners.. nothing out of the blue but @ least its not broccoli..

8. garlic prawns
it was terrible... over-cooked!! what else can i say?!

9. e-mee -- typical cantonese fare
this was terrible... it was all so soggy n cold... i had a bite n left it standing...

10. orh-ni (yam paste with ginko)
its realli amusing how the waitress serve this dish... upon removing the lid, we could all see that it was watery @ the top.. so u can guess that the sticky yam paste would b @ the bottom... but she started scooping the bottom 'layer' 1st... so the 1st few bowls only had the liquid portion of the orh-ni... den when she got to the last 4 bowls, there was no more liquid for her to scoop... it was left with only th yam paste... den there was stills plenty of yam paste upon filling the bowls... den she decided that she need to fill the 1st few watery bowls with the yam paste.. weird...

but nevertheless... i loved it... its not too sweet like what other restaurants serve... it looked a lighter shade of pink-grey but its realli nice...

finally got 2 off days together.... again....
now i realli enjoy having sunday and monday free to do whatsoever...


went to celebrate eileen's birthday yesterday... met up with her, lilian, shang, ryan n his gf... i was told that changing appetteties was good (otherwise eileen wun be hooked).. went there n realised that it was an american n japanese restaurant... so it was no wonder that they served curry -- totally japanese style.. recently i have a craving for soup n curry but somehow japanese curry dun catch my attention much... it contains way too much onions (though i do LUV onions, esp in subway sandwiches) back to the topic.. besides curry, they do have typical american fare.. like roasted ribs, fish n chips, over-sized burgers, pizzas... but the thing that fancied me was the wide choices of drinks... sodas, milkshakes to energy drinks... omg, i was over-whelmed...

MUSSELS!!
omg... baked with cheese on top... melting in my mouth... though baked but it still tasted juicy inside... i'm realli gotta learn how to do that... den i shall have my feast @ home!! haha


as for the mains -- lilian, eileen n i chose e meaty combo for 3...
it had chicken wings, ribs, meatballs, chicken n fries... n i muz say it realli is tasty... but e thing is the fries were blah.... too soggy... destroyed everything... mayb bcoz its hidden beneath the fried chicken... way too soggy for eating i muz say... i could literally see the oil coming off it... but being guilty i DID eat it... absolutely sinful...


basically, i ate till my stomach bloated.. the three of us didnt finish the entire plate.. though i seriously luv the ribs, i realli couldnt take in anymore food... i've been eating too mcuh since nov... too much pampering isnt fun... its a torture for my face n tummy.... n soon my pocket coz i gotta get new clothes if i get anymore horizontal...

went for a totally unintentional shopping trip after a late lunch... stepped into skin food.. their packaging is rather cool... clean-looking n it isnt realli expensive... $4 for their nail polish.. $9 plus for a lip gloss... one of the sales girl there is superrrrrrr gorgeous... she has BIG eyes, LONG lashes, n simply pink lips... those that u realli wanna kiss.... the thing is her pink lips is not bcoz of lip gloss, she insisted that she didnt put on any lip colour... omg..... kill me... i look like an auntie beside her... she realli has natural beauty... i'm juz made up of artificial paint...


anyway bought a lip gloss, face mask from there... abt $20... i couldnt believe that we took ages to choose the products... too many choices.. wanted to get the entire stores' products...


after that, eileen brought lilian n i to the make-up store... initailly we only intended to view the colour palates available for the cosmetics... but we ended up buying a hand carrier.. something suitable for an evening event @ a club or dinner or juz when u feel flirty n girly... it costs $83... pricey... but i cant believe the 3 of us bought 1 each... in all the different colours... i got the lime green, eileen got the pearly pink n lilian got the turquoise blue... nice...


went espirit wanting to look @ the limited edition red earth products... b4 stepping into the shop i had e intention to buy the eye shadow... but once i saw what the salesgirl did, i gave up... though i desperately wanted to buy, with her kinda attitude i wouldnt buy from her... :P lilian was asking her which colour of concealer would cover up for pimples etc... it was alright if she didnt know the answer, but she juz took her guide book n flunked it on the table n read everything from the book...

we continued browsing through other products.. as lilian n i gave her a set of the cosmetics as a present, she wanted to know if the reflective surface was a mirror n she simply replied:" is it (a mirror)?' she scooped up the product in front of her, looked @ it n continued," if u say its a mirror, it is" wth... thats not the way u speak, not even if its ya 1st day @ work... i'm not forgetting her face, n i shant buy anything from her...

after that encounter, we didnt buyt anything else from any of the shops... walked from shop to shop, touching n looking, trying n viewing everything in sight...


unknowingly, it was 7 plus n mama came to pick me for my colleague's wedding dinner...

i honestly think that some ppl have a stupid attitude... absolutely kiasu n selfish. yesterday i was trying to board the mrt @ city hall. everything was fine i was trying to merge with the crowd n queue behind the yellow lines.. den the train came so i tried to move forward to get closer to the door.. the ppl who were trying to board the mrt didnt even give chance to the ppl who were trying to alight!! if no1 comes out of the crowded train den how on earth can any1 go in??????????!!! if i was slow in moving inwards that bcoz the person in front wasnt moving... but the stupid anuties n ALL the kisau ppl squeezed in front as if they haven took the mrt b4! crazy lot... den when every1 (BEHIND N IN FRONT) packed themselves into the train, i was left outside on the platform.. n NO1 bothered to make space for me!! SIMPLY SELFISH!! omg.. how can singaporeans be so ugly?!! totally digusting... basically in the end, i was standing outside the mrt overlooking inwards @ all the selfish lot helplessly... not even 1 pair of pitiful eyes.. omg!!



soooo.... sadly i waited for the next train looking like an idiot... but on that ocassion i was feeling alittle better so i didnt bother to get any more angrier.. so i found a seat n started thinking of nice thoughts... den the next train came... it was near empty... haha!! fortunately i didnt squeeze with me to enter the train n b squashed like sardines lolx....

not boarding that train was a blessing in disguise!! heh!


watched chicken little... silly plot but super duper cute characters... u can actually predict what's gotta happen n luff @ all e predictable antics.. but its realli cute....


but there's something super interesting... think abt it...
1. how can a pair of specs fit on when there's no ears to hold the temple tips..
2. how is it possible for a pair of specs w/o nose pads to sit on the nose that's totally flat?
3. how is it possible that ya glasses dun give way when a car runs over it?


n fyi...
if u didnt notice chicken little is using uncoat lenses... omg... its anti-reflective... how can u actually see clearly with that?! little wonder on why he risked got knocked down..
